An empty coliseum at dawn with a long shadow cast across the golden arena floor. Featured image for the poem In Self-Doubt’s Coliseum on Sayspire.

In self-doubt’s coliseum,
don the shroud of Achilles,
the shield of belief,
the sword of confidence,
and slay the silent foe.

As earth spins,
from dark to dawn,
warming, building,
sustaining life,
so does your silhouette,
a quiet sun
casting light
on familiar faces.

Go now,
and burn brilliant.

Remember, self-doubt doesn’t disappear. You just stop letting it hold the sword.
