A Love Few Ever Find
There’s a moment, right after you meet someone, when a quiet question rises before you can stop it: is this the one? This poem is for that question, and for the answer that arrives slower than expected but lands harder than anything imagined. Some connections don’t announce themselves. They just quietly become undeniable.
In the minutes after we met, we silently
questioned ourselves,
that we found our partner in life. Shortly
thereafter, our question was answered,
a becoming that neither you or I expected. This,
what we have, became
a love many search the ends of the world but
seldom find. To think –
to know, you and I share a love like this, is
beyond any poetry I can create,
felt only when our bodies are next to one
another.
