Like Water Nourishes a Bed of Flowers

Joshua Cintron

Sometimes I overthink how to say I love you. Then I remember it doesn’t need much dressing up. This one is as plain as the feeling itself.

I love you.
Do you hear it?
Do you feel it?
Does your heart sense it?
Does your mind receive it?
I say this unto you,
like water nourishes
a bed of flowers,
this is my love for you,
giving of everything
to your heart’s hand.
