Father’s Day Poem: Giving You Praise

I’m writing a poem to you dad

because I know my brothers won’t,
because I don’t think you ever received one,
because you deserve to hear you’re a good man.

I’m writing a poem to you dad,
because you touched so many lives in ways you’ll never know,
because showing emotion isn’t what men do,
because you should feel like the king you are born to be.

I’m writing a poem to you dad,
because I want to let you know one of your son’s love’s you,
because your life’s work deserves a pat on the back,
because deep inside of me lives you, and deep inside of you lives me.

I’m writing a poem to you dad,
because out of billions of dads,
you were chosen for me.

Happy Father’s Day!
